Today we explored a long passage from John... 21:1-19.
After Jesus had risen from the dead, he visited the disciples numerous times. This story takes him back to the lakeshore where disheartened and sad Disciples try to return to their past... fishing.
But Jesus knew that they couldn't go back to being what they were... that their life experiences had changed who they were and how they saw the world. They had to move forward.
In this story, Jesus shows them how them to do things differently, gives them time to recognize the need to live into new change and then challenges them to look after God's children, to move ahead even if it's dangerous.
Jesus did it. We can do it. God knows we can.
