On July 19th, a Cluster of folk gathered for worship at the Oyen United Church.
We shared some scrumptious Chili on a Bun for supper...with a salad made with freshly picked lettuce.
Then, surrounded by some beautiful quilts and and prayers shawls, and guided by music, our worship led us to consider that, if God is the weaver of our tapestry of life, what does our tapestry look like? Do we just see the messy side...while God is watching a beautiful picture of humanity grow on the 'upper' side?
If we are each a piece of a quilt that God is sewing together...what does our piece hold? Are we the backing...that offers support? Are we the middle...that creates warmth? Are we a busy, colourful pattern? Is God the stitching that holds us all together?
Then, being very careful to keep sticky hands off the quilts, we finished off the evening by sharing Ice Cream Sundaes and stories together.
Thank you to the cooks, the knitter, the quilter who enriched our worship with your offerings.
