Pioneer Pastoral Charge begins!

As of January 1, 2017 the United Churches of Cereal, Oyen, Acadia Valley and Empress have joined together in a new partnership. 

We are now the Pioneer Pastoral Charge!

For many folk, this won't make a huge difference as we will continue to have our worship services the same as we did before. But...in the creation of this new venture we are committing to work and support each other.

Tangible differences that some of us will see will include the eventual (because we all know this takes time) reduction of some paperwork for the National Church; sharing of costs will enable ministry to be supported in our communitites; all of these churches now have an 'Official' Minister to care for them and support them; we will continue to share information through our website and Facebook page (Big Country United Churches) so that are aware of our presence and activity in each of our communities. 

We hope that we will challenge and encourage each other to live God's vibrant presence with passion and compassion in each community. 

We are God's partners in Faith and ready for this new adventure together!
