On February 12, 2017 representatives from five United Churches (Cereal, Oyen, Acadia Valley, Empress and Alsask) joined together in worship to celebrate the beginning of the new Pioneer Pastoral Charge.
Our scripture readings reminded of God's presence on new journeys and urged us to join together to encourage each other to live God's hope and love in the world.
We were reminded that God offers us choices and what we choose can shape the world for the better.
Music carried us through the service with the Hymn "We Are One" (VU 402) threaded throughout to remind us of our commitment to work together.
After a Pot Lunch, we had a couple of 'firsts': The First Pioneer Pastoral Charge Budget was passed, and the First Pioneer Board was elected!
We are so grateful for this opportunity the God has given us to find partnership in faith with our neighbours.
