On April 6th, the Humboldt Broncos Junior Hockey team were involved in a horrific crash as they travelled on their bus to a game. Sixteen travellers on the bus lost their lives, 13 more were injured. The truck driver escaped serious physical injury.
The news about the tragedy this cannot help but deeply touch our own hockey community. Our minds are stirred with compassion for those who are most directly effected by this event. We cannot imagine how they will find the strength to cope.
It also comes too close to home when we have sports teams travelling by bus, when we have hockey teams and players that we are attached to. It could have been us. It could have been ours. Don't struggle with this alone.
The Oyen United Church is open with meditation stations to help you find a place of peace and stillness and to settle your soul for the next steps ahead.
Come and walk through the stations, or just come to sit and be still.

From Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
