We had many Christmas Eve services to choose from in 2017!
We began on December 17th at the Alsask United Church... with a Christmas Service of the Christmas Tree and all the stories it holds. We decorated our tree together then shared in Communion.
On December 22nd, we gathered with a pot luck supper followed by a traditional Christmas Eve service that included Communion. We held this wonderful event in a warm home and our house musicians were Elaine Michaels and Warren Reed.
On December 23rd the Cereal United Church was filled with music and laughter as we joined together in a Journey to Christmas. We followed the footsteps of Mary and Joseph and the shepherds as we created an ornament that helped remind us of the important lessons of Hope, Peace, Joy and Love that Christmas invites us into.
On December 24th the Oyen United Church hosted two Christmas Eve services. The first was another chance to follow that Journey to Christmas. The second was a more traditional service grounded in words and story of those who were part of that first, amazing, nativity. We heard from Elizabeth, Mary, Joseph, and a shepherd. Then we joined together in Communion.
Thank you to all who came and made our Christmas Eve moments so special.
Merry Christmas!
