With members from Oyen, Cereal and Acadia Valley United Churches (and a couple of Anglican drop-ins from Camrose) a choir of 12 singers led our Christmas Concert on December 20th, at 2:30 p.m.
The audience sang along to favourite Christmas songs and carols ...and perhaps a few new ones too.
Guest singers "The Beynons" gave us a treat as they sang "Silver Bells" and "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas"
Guest musician, Warren Reed, played violin for us...with solos, and as choir accompanist.
We shared favourite stories: " 'Twas the night before Christmas " and "The Nativity"
Del Pratt, cowboy poet extraordinaire gave us two readings: "Buck" and a a brand new poem (just finished that morning) "The Stranger"
Tracy Hudson, of Remember When Photography, recorded the images of our afternoon together.
It was, indeed, a wonderful afternoon of shared voices and talent and a fitting start to Christmas Celebrations.
Merry Christmas!
