On December 13, 2015 Buffalo United Church held it's last worship service.
Approximately 26 adults and 7 children joined in the honouring of the history and tradition the United Church congregation which has been part of this community since 1920.
We were privileged to celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism as Ryder Makranoff, son of Wonona and Andrew Makranoff was baptized. Many of Ryder's family have been part of the history of this church so it was fitting that he be the last one baptized here. We also celebrated the Sacrament of Communion...remembering that, no matter where we are, we are invited to God's table and are always part of God's church in the world.
The service was led by Rev. Helen Reed of Oyen, who is the Pastoral Charge Supervisor. Pastor Paul Evans and Mary Lou Evans were partners in the presentation of the service as they have been supporting this small congregation for the last few years.
The work of this particular church is now complete and we give thanks for all that it has given to the community for the past 95 years.
