Blessings on your journey Joanne

On Sunday, August 30 we said goodbye to our Intern, Joanne Anquist.

Joanne has spent the last eight months with us as part of her preparation to be Ordained to Ministry in the United Church. It has been a great experience to have her enthusiasm and to share in new ways of doing church together.

Sixty people came (with representation from 5 of our Big Country Churches) to help us give Joanne a great send off. We had lots of wonderful music and some laughter, and in her reflection Joanne shared what this time with us has meant for her. 

Joanne was given a stole with symbols of her ministry and music that she has shared with us, and an orange star with the spirit of God woven around it to bless her on the way. 

We finished our time together in very 'church' fashion with a lunch.

Joanne will begin her next Ministry adventure at McDougall United Church in Calgary on September 9th. She will be Ordained in May/June of 2016.
