Today is Mother's Day.
Using the story of Tabitha, perhaps an usual choice for today, we are exploring how stories of love and care are often lost or hidden in the business and changing priorities of life.
We honour and remember all those who have shared the traits of Mothering with the world: carers, nurturers, givers of safety, of food and shelter, of love and guidance.
We are challenged to name the challenges and gifts of Mothering -- both as givers and receivers. We are challenged to be the Motherers of a hurting world that needs us all to care for each other.
