This week's theme evolved out of last week's service.
As part of our discussions we noted that some of us had not heard this particular scripture passage and in the little we shared we realized that there were portions of this story that were the same as other faith stories.
This scripture is typically scheduled (if we follow the Common Lectionary schedule) for the Sunday after Christmas. But because this Pastoral Charge does not have worship on that day, we have missed this important piece.
The format of the service was not the same as usual. The reflection that I offered was split by the three stories in the scripture, so in today's recording I have offered you the scripture followed by the reflection.
I am also offering you the whole service as a printed version. This can be a harsh topic for some and my hope is that, if you follow the whole service, you will find yourself inspired to offer hospitality by the words of God that we share today.
